Well, it is now February 8th in both Japan and America which means it’s my birthday! I am now 21. I don’t have any big plans for my birthday here since a lot of people are gone but I’ll celebrate it when I return to America. I’ll be going back to America from February 22nd to March 22nd. Then I’ll come back to Japan with my family for about 10 days to travel.
Even though I won’t be celebrating my birthday in any big way, there is one thing I usually do on my birthday which is eat my favorite food. That is, pizza. So, tonight I’ll be going out with a friend or two to Shakey’s Pizza to eat pizza. Perhaps I’ll take some pictures that I’ll put up later.
Interestingly enough, this is the second year in a row that I haven’t been in America during my birthday. Last year, I was in Mexico with my friend from Middlebury College, Katie. We were teaching English on Isla Mujeres, which is a small island right off of Cancun. And yes, I did eat pizza on my birthday then, too.
Anyway, I have to get ready to leave now so I’ll write more later.
